Troy, OR offers some fun day kayaking or rafting trips on the Grande Ronde River.  You can start in or above Troy and float towards the Snake River as far as you like.  We usually go to 7 miles up river to the Wild Cat Bridge where we put in and float to Troy.  At the end of the day you can go to the Wenaha Bar and Grill for dinner, drinks and maybe even a football game.  Then...back to a nice cozy cabin with a warm wood fire.

If you are a die hard rafter and want a great multi-day experience try floating from Minam to Troy.  At the end of your trip you can have a vacation cabin waiting for you to relax, shower and stay overnight.

Check out the hunting info on the Umatilla National Forest hunting web page.  We are situated in the North East corner of Oregon close to the Washington border.  Many hunters like staying at Dunroven by the River because it is close to some great elk, deer, chucker, turkey and bear hunting in Oregon and Washington.  At the end of the day you can go to the Wenaha Bar and Grill for dinner, drinks and maybe even a football game.  Then...back to a nice cozy cabin with a warm wood fire.
